Celebrating Women in March: MBTM highlights women in industry
At Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim, March was a month of commitment to professional equity and the promotion of women in industry. Through the ‘Mars au féminin’ initiative, we celebrated the careers, voices and talents of our female employees.
Interviews, a discussion on unconscious bias and hosting the international She@Truck event: here’s a look back at a month full of exchanges aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion within our company.
Authentic and Inspiring Testimonials
As part of the ‘Mars au féminin’ initiative, six female employees of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim agreed to share their journeys through a series of inspiring interviews. From production to accounting, logistics, IT and engineering, these women with unique backgrounds opened up about their experiences, their achievements and the challenges they have overcome. They also shared valuable advice for those looking to pursue a career in the automotive industry.
Through their stories, a powerful and inspiring vision of women’s place in the automotive industry emerges. They talk about passion, perseverance, self-confidence and, above all, pride in working in a male-dominated sector. One piece of advice came up in each interview: believe in yourself and dare to take the plunge!
At MBTM, we are proud to shine the spotlight on these voices that are shaking things up and paving the way for a more inclusive and fairer industry.
A debate on unconscious gender biases
On 24 March 2025, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim organised a debate on unconscious gender bias, bringing together more than twenty employees and members of the management team for a morning of discussion followed by a convivial meal. The debate highlighted the unconscious stereotypes that still exist today. Unconscious biases are automatic judgements or stereotypes that influence our decisions without us being fully aware of them.
Divided into three groups, the participants had the opportunity to share their personal and professional experiences while collectively reflecting on how each of us can contribute to avoiding these unconscious biases. During the debate, it was emphasised that awareness and collective actions are essential to overcome them.
This constructive exchange reinforced the idea that diversity, in addition to being an ethical issue, is a key factor in performance and collective innovation within our company.
She@Truck: an international event
At the end of March, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim had the honour of hosting the She@Truck event. This international meeting brought together 27 female managers from Germany, Turkey, the UK and Poland. These women, all committed to promoting inclusion within the Daimler Truck Group, shared their experiences, their challenges and the opportunities they encounter in their professional careers.
The aim of the meeting, which took place during the last week of March, was to encourage these women to talk to each other, learn from each other and strengthen their network. It was a great opportunity for women who aspire to progress and take on responsibilities.
At Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim, inclusion and diversity are priorities that form an essential part of our day-to-day operations. The ‘Mars au féminin’ initiative reflects our desire to promote professional equality and support women in their careers.
